My Mission
The Heart of My Practice
My work is grounded in compassion, respect, and the belief that parents deserve care that feels steady, thoughtful, and truly supportive.
Parenthood is deeply personal, and the way you are supported during this time matters. You deserve guidance that honors your values, meets you where you are, and helps you feel more confident and at ease as you care for your baby.

My Mission
To Empower and Uplift Parents Through Informed, Compassionate Care
Whether you’re expecting, newly postpartum, or further along in your parenting journey, I provide breastfeeding support that is compassionate, evidence-based, and grounded in respect for your values, culture, and lived experience.
I am committed to ensuring that no parent feels alone or uncertain during this deeply important stage of life. With clear guidance and steady education, parents can grow in confidence, resilience, and trust in their own instincts.
As a registered nurse, certified breastfeeding counselor, and mother of three, I bring both clinical knowledge and lived experience to my work. My approach is education-focused, holistic, and centered on empowering families with the tools and reassurance they need.
Through home-based and virtual care, I offer personalized support that adapts to your needs and honors your baby’s unique development.
When a parent is supported, a family is strengthened. And when families are strengthened, communities and futures are shaped.

My Approach
Meeting You Where You Are
I offer compassionate, personalized breastfeeding support tailored to your family’s routines, goals, and concerns. Every feeding journey is unique, and my care is designed to feel practical, respectful, and empowering from the very beginning.
My approach combines evidence-based education with steady emotional support. You will receive clear, reliable guidance along with reassurance and encouragement during moments that feel uncertain, overwhelming, or new.
Collaboration is central to my work. I take time to listen closely, understand your experiences, and create a care plan that reflects your needs while building your confidence along the way.
I take a whole-person approach to care, supporting not just feeding, but the parent behind it. My focus is on strengthening the bond between you and your baby while helping you move forward with clarity, confidence, and trust in yourself.

Care That Continues At Home
The early days of parenthood are tender and transformative, but they can also feel overwhelming in ways many families don’t expect. I created Nurturing Beginnings because I saw how deeply parents benefit from continued, accessible support after leaving the hospital.
In those first hospital days, families are surrounded by care, guidance, and reassurance. But once they return home, that support often fades just as questions begin to arise. I recognized this gap and felt called to provide in-home and virtual care that meets families where they are and supports them through the realities of early feeding.
While working in Labor and Delivery, I cared for mothers and newborns during their first moments together. I witnessed the intensity of those early hours and came to understand how essential ongoing guidance is as families transition into life at home.
My perspective has also been shaped by living and working internationally. Growing up in Tokyo, Japan, gave me a deep respect for cultural values and different approaches to family life. Later, while conducting home visits in Moshi, Tanzania, I saw firsthand how meaningful it is when care is delivered directly in a family’s own environment. It is practical, personal, and deeply human.
These experiences continue to shape how I approach my work today.
Now, I feel honored to support families throughout Fairfield County as they build confidence, find clarity, and create feeding journeys that align with their values and goals.
It would be a privilege to support you and your family during this important time.
